Black’s Beach is a GREAT spot for engagement photos in San Diego. Fair warning, it IS a nude beach…so just know that ahead of time! To be honest we only saw a few people partaking, the rest of the beachgoers were clothed. Anyway! I loved taking Loren & Pat’s engagement photos at Black’s Beach in San Diego. I just recently moved to San Diego, so finding new locations to take engagement photos in San Diego has been SO FUN! I’m always a fan of taking engagement photos at the beach, and since San Diego is known for such beautiful beaches, it just made sense to shoot here.
Loren & Pat just found out they are having a baby in June 2021! So so exciting. They wanted to commemorate this super exciting time with some photos! They brought along their rescue pup Theo, which worked out great because Black’s Beach is dog friendly! I love when couples bring their dogs to their engagement photos! It’s so fun and I just LOVE dogs.
I loved taking engagement photos at Black’s Beach. There are so many great engagement photo locations in San Diego, and this spot is definitely one of them! The beach is big and has some AMAZING sunsets! There are cliffs on the shore side which give the beach a secluded vibe.

The sunsets at Black’s Beach are STUNNING. The beach is surrounded by tall cliffs that make it feel other-worldly. I get major Hawaii vibes from this beach! There is ample room on the sand, so even if there are other beach-goers, it never feels crowded and I can always find a people-free background.
