So, you’re getting married! Congratulations! This is obviously a huge moment in your life and I know you want everything to be perfect. So much goes into planning a wedding, so I’m here to hopefully help you with something you may have been on the fence about: hiring a wedding videographer!
Having a videographer at your wedding has evolved from being a luxury to basically being another wedding necessity. Looking through photos is one thing, sure, but coupling that with watching a film of your day that captures all the little smiles and happy tears provides such a different experience that still images alone just can’t compete with.
Weddings are expensive. I totally get that! Between the dress, the venue, the food – things add up. Videography is sometimes stuck to the bottom of the “Wedding Must-Haves” list. And because of that, some couples miss out on a quality wedding film. Maybe I’m biased, but I find this to be quite a tragedy. Look at it this way: your wedding day is one of the most special days you’ll have in this life. After the thank you cards have been written, the flowers have dried out, and the wedding dress is stowed away in the attic, you’ll want to remember your day and all the beauty that went along with it. Watching your wedding film will bring you back to the movement and feeling of the moment, and allows you to relive it for the rest of your days.
I love weddings. I love the flowers, I love the emotions, and I LOVE the love. Okay, also the food, but that’s not really relevant here. But what I love most about shooting weddings is that I get to capture all of this love. I have the privilege of documenting all of the smiles, the laughs, and the horrible dance moves. And I get to deliver those moments and memories to couples who will cherish them for the rest of their lives.
Basically, the bottom line here is this: photo and video go hand in hand. They complete each other, giving you – the couple – everything you need to remember your wedding. You don’t want to miss out on something like that.
I shot photo and video at Bri & Justin’s wedding (yes, both! Shoutout to my amazing second shooters!). Their day was absolutely beautiful, and I’m so glad they asked me to be there!
