I absolutely LOVE taking engagement photos at Crystal Cove State Beach. This spot is almost always pretty empty, and even if there people, there are never a ton so there are always great backgrounds! Katie & Michael are from Indiana and were going to be in Orange County for a few days for one of Michael’s races (he races cars – so cool), so when Katie reached out, I knew this spot would be perfect for the beachy vibes they were wanting!
What I love about taking engagement photos at Crystal Cove is there are so many gorgeous backdrops that add so much to the photos. The colors are neutral and complement almost any outfit, and the sunset is always gorgeous.
I love the outfits Katie & Michael chose for their beach engagement photos! Katie was worried she wouldn’t find a dress she loved, but I’m so glad she chose this blue striped, flowy, off-the-shoulder dress. It goes so well with Michael’s light blue shirt and blue jeans! They look pretty SoCal to me for a couple of Mid-Westerner’s!
