Kortni & Mikey

Alright gang. This is one of my fave sessions of all time. Partly because this lake has a special place in my heart and partly because Kortni & Mikey are the CUTEST and absolutely killed this session.

Every three years, my mom’s side of the family meets up for a family reunion on Saranac Lake in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. It’s my absolute FAVORITE vacation and this year I knew I wanted to photograph a couple at this spot if it was the last thing I did. I reached out to Kortni (a fellow wedding photographer in upstate NY!) and asked if she and her husband would be down to shoot and WOOHOO they were! So it was settled. They came over and they KILLED IT. It almost didn’t happen though because of COURSE I got hit in the face with a wakeboard (another story for another day) and had to get 6 stitches on my nose and cheek. Real cute, I know. I looked like an absolute troll with my swollen, unrecognizable face but YOLO gotta do it for the shot.

THEN THEY GOT IN A CANOE AND HOLY SHIT Y’ALL I AM DEADDDDD

Then I made them jump off this rock and LEMME TELL YA it was worth it (from my end at least lololol).

What a killer session. For real one of my faves! Thanks again Kortni & Mikey for hanging with me!!
